Nutmeg
Nutmeg is the oval shaped seed of an evergreen tree called Myristica fragans. It is generally grown in the East Indies and West Indies. In its ground form, it has a strong, sweet flavor that compliments both sweet and savory dishes very nicely. Nutmeg combines well with many cheeses and can be found in the filling of cheese ravioli and cheese dessert fillings. It also pairs well with vegetables such as cabbage, spinach, and broccoli.
