Ground Cloves
Ground cloves are the dried, unopened flower buds of Eugenia caryophyllus. Cloves are generally grown in Zanzibar, Idonesia, Madagascar, and Brazil. Their strong aroma and pungent flavor pairs well with cinnamon, allspice, vanilla, basil, onion, anise, peppercorns, apples, pears, rhubarb, and pumpkin. Ground cloves are a popular ingredient in baked goods and tea.
