Whole Cloves
Cloves are the dried, unopened flower buds of Eugenia caryophyllus. Cloves are generally grown in Zanzibar, Idonesia, Madagascar, and Brazil. They have a strong aroma and a pungent flavor that pairs well with cinnamon, allspice, vanilla, basil, onion, anise, peppercorns, apples, pears, rhubarb, and pumpkin.
